Welcome to Velocurean!

We looked everywhere and couldn’t find it. We wanted a site for our lifestyle, the love of food, cycling, and enjoying life. There are sites that focus on pieces of such a lifestyle, but nothing comprehensive… A place for our favorite recipes, our bike rides, great restaurants, beer and wine, and more. Since there wasn’t already a site, we made one. Velocurean is a place to find recipes, ride maps, restaurant reviews, wineries, and much more.
When we eat, we like to make it worthwhile. We share recipes that we, ourselves, cook and eat (the pictures are taken in the “Velocurean Test Kitchens”). Some of the recipes are ours, some are from other sites (we’ll link ‘em), and some are our adaptations of other recipes (don’t tell Gramma we changed her famous tuna casserole). We like healthy and exciting foods to fuel an active lifestyle.
When you eat, you need to burn the calories somehow. Our favorite method is to ride bikes. While we’re sure that if you’re not a cyclist you’ll love our site, if you are a cyclist, you’ll have double the reasons to love Velocurean. Much of what brought Velocurean into existence is our desire for an “all-in-one” source for cycling and nutritional information. We’ll bring you turn-by-turn ride maps and descriptions, input from professionals, technical data, links to other useful sites, and much more.
Please poke around a bit, come back frequently, and by all means feel free to check out the founders’ blogs and send them a comment or an email.
